Pakistan Army Destroys Afghan Posts, Raises National Flag at Border

Chitral: The Pakistan Army has dealt a major blow to Afghan Taliban forces at the border, destroying several posts and raising the Pakistani flag on captured positions.

According to security sources, a key Afghan post near Chitral was targeted and set on fire during Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes. Video footage shows Afghan soldiers fleeing, leaving behind their equipment and bodies.

Sources said Afghan troops abandoned their positions after intense shelling by Pakistani forces. Flames and smoke were visible from the destroyed posts, and in one video, Pakistani soldiers are seen raising the national flag on a captured Afghan check post.

The military operation was in direct response to unprovoked firing by Afghan forces across the border.

Pakistan has so far destroyed nearly two dozen Afghan border posts involved in the recent aggression, security officials confirmed.

The Pakistan Army has stated that it will continue to respond strongly to any cross-border provocations and will defend its territory at all costs.
