Rana Sanaullah Urges Unity After Army’s Response, Asks Protesters to Postpone March
Faisalabad: Senator Rana Sanaullah said at a press conference that the Pakistan Army’s strong operation was necessary and timely, coming at a moment when “dozens of funerals” were being held across the country and people were asking how long they would keep burying their sons. He paid tribute to Prime Minister, the President, and Field Marshal Asim Munir for the effective response and said the scale of the reply was justified.
Rana Sanaullah urged political leaders to join a Charter of Stability for Pakistan, saying the country needs internal stability now more than ever. He specifically appealed to PTI leaders to put aside political attacks and stand with the state, the armed forces, and the families of the martyrs, saying their blood must be honored.
He added that Pakistan now enjoys respect worldwide and that both its military and diplomatic strength are recognized internationally. He asked everyone to support that strength so domestic and foreign matters can be handled smoothly and the country’s economy and stability can improve.
Addressing a religious group planning a Gaza march, Rana Sanaullah said the timing was wrong and reminded them that violent incidents have occurred during protests. He named senior religious figures who had expressed concern and urged the group to postpone the march out of respect for the martyrs and to avoid adding to public hardship while the armed forces are carrying out retaliatory operations.
