TLP protests erupt in Karachi, five arrested amid unrest – check alternate & disrupted routes

Protests broke out in different parts of Karachi, prompting a quick response from the police. According to national media reports on Monday, five people were arrested over fears of a possible law and order situation.

Protest and Road Closures

During a protest near Four K Chowrangi, garbage was thrown onto the roads, and the route from New Karachi to Godhra was blocked due to arson and vandalism. Protesters also tried to shut down markets near Sindhi Hotel in New Karachi.

A large police force has been deployed in the area to control the situation. Police officials confirmed that five individuals were detained for their involvement in vandalism and road blockages.

Growing Tension in the City

Videos circulating on social media show roads blocked and crowds gathering in several areas. Users claim that TLP (Crane Party) workers have taken to the streets, leading to increased tension across Karachi.

Schools Closed Amid Unrest

As demonstrations and roadblocks spread, several schools in Karachi have announced closures, raising public concern about the city’s safety and stability.
