Traffic across Pakistan’s major cities and highways remains largely normal despite ongoing religious party protests, with only a few localized closures and diversions reported. Law enforcement and traffic authorities have confirmed that movement within and between key urban centers is continuing without significant disruption.
In Islamabad, all major routes are open except for those leading to the Red Zone, Serena Hotel, and Faizabad. Both the Expressway and Srinagar Highway are accessible, though they experience typical congestion during peak hours. Access to the Red Zone is still possible via Margalla Road.
In Rawalpindi, road closures persist near Faizabad, including Murree Road, Ojri Turn, and the Faizabad Loops, but other routes within the city remain operational. The route to Islamabad Airport from both cities is open.
Traffic flow in Lahore has been restored to nearly 99 percent, with all major roads, motorways, and the G.T. Road open for routine travel. However, partial closures continue around Samanabad, Scheme Mor, Shimla Pahari, and the Press Club area.
Karachi sees smooth vehicular movement on most main roads, though minor congestion has been reported during rush hours along University Road, Shahrah-e-Faisal, and in the Saddar area.
In Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, traffic is running normally without any reported disruptions. Similarly, in Quetta, traffic along Zarghun Road and around Serena Chowk remains steady. However, movement near Pishin Stop is temporarily suspended due to ongoing activity in the vicinity.
No protest-related road closures or disruptions have been reported from any other provinces, and overall vehicular movement across Pakistan continues without interruption.
Regarding motorways, M1, M2, M3, M11, and M14 remain open for travel. The M4 motorway is closed between Shah Shamas and Shair Shah due to road damage, while M5 is closed from Jalalpur Interchange to Jhangra Interchange because of ongoing roadwork. Southbound traffic on M5 is being diverted via Jalalpur Interchange, and northbound traffic through Uch Sharif Interchange.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
