President Zardari Slams Cross-Border Attacks, Backs Pakistan Army
President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the cross-border attacks from Afghan territory, calling them a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty. He praised the courage and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces in responding to these attacks.
The President accused the Afghan Taliban government of repeatedly violating the Doha Agreement and providing safe havens to terrorists. He warned that these terrorists pose a serious threat to the entire region and are destabilizing Pakistan and its neighbors.
President Zardari said the Afghan Taliban have established a monopoly over power and urged Afghan authorities to stop allowing their land to be used for anti-Pakistan activities. He emphasized that such attacks harm regional peace and relations.
He reiterated that Pakistan seeks peaceful and cooperative ties with all neighboring countries. However, he warned that any aggression against Pakistan will be met with a strong and decisive response.
