Pakistan, Kazakhstan Launch Joint Military Exercise ‘Dostarym-V’ at Cherat

Pakistan and Kazakhstan have begun their joint military exercise Dostarym-V, focusing on counter-terrorism operations. The exercise is being held from 13 to 24 October 2025 at the Special Operations School in Cherat, Pakistan.

SSG and Kazakh Special Forces in Action

Elite troops from Pakistan’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the Special Forces of Kazakhstan are participating. The goal is to strengthen coordination, share battlefield experience, and improve tactical skills in anti-terror operations.

The official opening ceremony took place on 14 October at Cherat. Senior military officers from both countries attended the event, highlighting the deep military cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

Focus of the Exercise

The joint training aims to:

  • Enhance counter-terrorism capabilities

  • Conduct close-quarter battle drills

  • Exchange operational expertise

  • Foster stronger military-to-military relations

Both armies expressed strong commitment to learning from each other’s operational experience. The exercise reflects the growing defence ties and mutual trust between the two friendly nations.
