Mari Energies announces major oil and gas discovery in Sindh
Mari Energies has announced a major discovery of oil and gas in Daharki city, located in the Ghotki district of Sindh, as reported by national media on Friday.
According to a statement from the company, the discovery was made through the Mari Ghazij CFB-1 exploration well. Mari Energies holds 100% rights of the Mari Development and Production Lease and is the sole operator of the site.
During testing, the exploration well produced around 305 barrels of oil per day and 3 million cubic feet of gas per day, confirming the presence of valuable reserves.
Mari Energies added that it operates Pakistan’s largest gas reservoir in the Daharki Mari Field. With nearly a 30% market share, the company remains the country’s leading gas producer, playing a key role in meeting Pakistan’s growing energy needs.
