Mohsin Naqvi Meets JUI Secretary General Owais Noorani
Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Allama Shah Awais Noorani, to discuss religious harmony, tolerance, and national unity. Both leaders agreed that no action will be taken against innocent people. They also agreed on releasing those wrongly detained and not closing any religious schools (madrasas).
During the meeting, it was decided that strict action will be taken against troublemakers, and no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that there is no place for extremists or those spreading unrest in the country. He assured that the government will deal firmly with elements creating instability and extremism.
Minister Naqvi praised the valuable role of religious scholars in promoting peace, patience, and tolerance in society. He said that all segments of society must contribute to lasting peace and harmony. He also highlighted that promoting religious education is a shared responsibility.
Allama Owais Noorani assured full cooperation to promote sustainable peace and brotherhood in the country.
