KP Voices Concern Over Afghan Taliban, Trusts Pakistan Army
Peshawar: Citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have expressed strong opinions regarding the ongoing Pakistan-Afghanistan negotiations, voicing deep skepticism over the Afghan Taliban and highlighting India’s alleged influence in Afghanistan.
Many residents believe that the current rulers in Afghanistan are backed by India, which raises concerns about the sincerity and outcome of peace talks.
“We believe India is supporting the Afghan government, and this affects regional stability,” said a local resident.
Several citizens credited the Pakistan Army for making the talks possible. “These negotiations only happened due to pressure from our armed forces. We salute the Pakistan Army,” one resident said.
Despite being ethnic Pashtuns, some locals stated that they do not trust the Afghan Taliban. “As Pashtuns, we cannot trust the Afghan Taliban. They frequently change their stance,” one person commented.
Others praised the strength and courage of Pakistan’s military, saying, “We have complete trust in our army. It is brave and strong.”
“We stand side by side with our armed forces in every field,” another resident added.
