Maryam Nawaz Distributes Flood Relief Cheques in Okara
Okara: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Depalpur on Monday to distribute flood relief cheques and flood cards to victims affected by recent flooding in the region.
Accompanied by Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, the Chief Minister met with flood-affected families, listened to their concerns, and assured them of the government’s ongoing support.
During the visit, Maryam Nawaz inspected the aid distribution booths and emphasized that the provincial government is working to resolve the victims’ issues through a proper support framework.
The initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader efforts to assist those impacted by this year’s severe floods, which caused significant loss of life and property across Punjab and other provinces.
Officials said the distribution of flood cards and financial assistance aims to help families recover and rebuild their lives.
