Pakistan decides to change passport design and colors: Sources
ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has made a major decision regarding passports. According to sources, the colours and design of public, official, and diplomatic passports are set to change.
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has received approval from the Ministry of Interior to move forward with the new design.
Sources indicate that the new passport will include both the mother’s and father’s names. It will also feature pictures of historic and important buildings from all four provinces of Pakistan.
The printing process for the new passports has already begun.
According to reports, the remaining stock of around one million old passports will be used first. After that, the new passports will be officially issued.
Officials said that this change aims to modernize and harmonize the passport system in Pakistan.
