Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s violation of Gaza peace agreement

22 October, 2025 19:39

Pakistan on Wednesday strongly condemned Israel’s violations of the Gaza peace agreement, expressing deep concern over renewed Israeli attacks that have killed many innocent civilians in the besieged region.

According to a statement from the Foreign Office spokesperson, Israel’s actions clearly violate the spirit of the Sharm el-Sheikh peace accord, which was meant to uphold the ceasefire and promote long-term regional stability.

The spokesperson said Pakistan was “deeply concerned over Israel’s blatant breach” of the peace deal, stressing that such acts undermine efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East.

“These actions are against the spirit and intent of the agreement, which sought to end hostilities and protect civilian lives,” the spokesperson added.

Pakistan urged the international community to take “immediate and effective measures” to stop Israeli aggression and protect Palestinian civilians. The spokesperson emphasized that the ceasefire must be fully respected and that all parties should follow the agreed peace framework to prevent further conflict.

Reaffirming its long-standing support, Pakistan expressed “unwavering solidarity” with the Palestinian people in their fight for self-determination and justice.

“Pakistan stands firmly with its Palestinian brothers and sisters and will continue to support their legitimate right to freedom and sovereignty,” the statement said.

The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s position that a free, independent, and sovereign State of Palestine should be established based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.

“Only a just and lasting solution, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions, can bring true peace to the Middle East,” the spokesperson added.

Pakistan concluded its statement by reaffirming that peace cannot be achieved through the violation of international agreements or the collective punishment of civilians. It called on the world to uphold justice, ensure accountability, and work toward the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
