Mohsin Naqvi Welcomes Polish Deputy Minister in Islamabad
Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the Deputy Interior Minister of Poland in Islamabad, where both sides discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including illegal immigration, border security, and legal cooperation.
Minister Naqvi warmly welcomed the Polish delegation upon their arrival at the Ministry of Interior. During the meeting, both countries agreed to enhance cooperation to curb illegal immigration and strengthen border management systems.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that illegal immigration is a highly sensitive issue for Pakistan, adding that a nationwide crackdown is underway against human smuggling networks and the mafia involved in the crime. He further noted that Pakistan is working to strengthen its Coast Guards to secure maritime borders and prevent illegal crossings.
The Polish Deputy Interior Minister praised Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and invited Minister Naqvi and the Minister of State for Interior to visit Poland for further dialogue and collaboration.
He stressed the importance of staying one step ahead of human smugglers through close international cooperation. Both sides agreed to deepen government-level coordination to make joint efforts more effective and sustainable.
