Mohsin Naqvi Meets Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran
Tehran: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, where the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional peace, and cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi briefed the Iranian President on the situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. In response, President Pezeshkian offered Iran’s support in helping to ease tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Naqvi also conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s best wishes to the Iranian President, emphasizing that Pakistan and Iran are partners in promoting regional peace and stability.
President Pezeshkian expressed satisfaction over the state of bilateral relations, saying that Iran attaches special importance to its ties with Pakistan. He added that both countries have vast opportunities to enhance cooperation in multiple fields, including trade, security, and cultural exchange.
