A Soldier’s Son Who Became a Nation’s Hero – The Inspiring Story of Captain Dr. Noman Saleem

Captain Dr. Noman Saleem Shaheed earned the highest honor of martyrdom on October 29, 2025, in Kurram at the young age of 24 — an honor every patriot dreams of.

He belonged to a humble yet courageous family from Mianwali. His father, retired soldier Muhammad Saleem from the Pakistan Army Infantry, turned his dream of making his son a doctor into reality through hard work and sacrifices despite limited means.

In 2018, Captain Dr. Noman Saleem secured admission to the Army Medical College purely on merit — a dream institute for many young students. While even the children of high-ranking officers often struggle to get in, the son of a soldier achieved it through talent, dedication, and determination.

He completed his MBBS in 2023 and joined the Pakistan Army as a Captain Doctor in 2024. His first posting was at Military Hospital Rawalpindi, where his discipline, professionalism, and devotion to service became an inspiration for everyone around him.

Because of his excellent performance, he was later sent to Kurram for military duties. Just 20 days after his posting, he embraced martyrdom while bravely fighting against militants.

Captain Dr. Noman’s family is well-educated and devoted to serving the nation. One of his brothers works in a respected institution, while his younger sister is pursuing her MBBS. Their family reflects the spirit of those patriotic Pakistani households that dedicate their lives to the country’s progress and safety.

His story is not just about one soldier’s son — it’s a message for all young people who believe success is only for the privileged. Captain Dr. Noman proved that with faith, hard work, and determination, no dream is impossible.
