Government Announced Public Holiday on November 1

A local public holiday has been announced in Narowal district for Saturday, November 1, on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Lasani in Alipur Syedan Sharif. The announcement was made by Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza, and an official notification has been issued by his office.

Large crowds of pilgrims are expected to arrive in Alipur Syedan Sharif from different parts of Pakistan to attend the Urs ceremonies. As every year, the district administration has made special arrangements for the guests. Officials have taken steps to ensure smooth crowd management, accommodation facilities, and overall discipline during the spiritual event.

According to district authorities, strict security measures have been planned. Police teams, Rescue 1122, and health department staff will be on duty throughout the event. Arrangements for food, clean drinking water, ablution areas, medical help, and resting spaces have also been completed for the pilgrims.

During the Urs, there will be Quran recitation, Naat recitation, and spiritual gatherings. Ulema and Mashaikhs will highlight the religious and spiritual services of Hazrat Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Lasani. His message of unity, peace, love, and brotherhood will be shared and remembered by devotees.

The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and help maintain peace and order. He said that the teachings of Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Lasani promote harmony and brotherhood, values that are important in today’s era.

Despite the holiday, essential services including hospitals, emergency services, police and municipal workers will continue their duties to avoid any inconvenience to the public. The Urs will be observed with religious devotion and respect across Narowal on November 1.
