Pakistan Emphasizes No Further Tensions with Afghanistan

Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to avoiding further tensions with Afghanistan, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that its territory is not exploited against its interests.

Speaking at a press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrani outlined recent diplomatic engagements, noting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a senior delegation, recently visited Saudi Arabia. During the visit, the Prime Minister participated in the Future Investment Initiative Conference held in Riyadh.

Spokesperson Andrani highlighted that during the trip, Prime Minister Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Simultaneously, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a key meeting with the Saudi Minister of Defense. Additionally, the Pakistani leadership conducted telephonic discussions with foreign ministers from various countries, focusing on bilateral matters and investment prospects.

Addressing the ongoing Pak-Afghan issue, Andrani underscored that Pakistan does not seek escalation and expects that its soil will not be utilized to undermine its security.
