How to Easily Check E-Challans in Karachi — Monitor E-Challans Status Step-by-Step Guide

01 November, 2025 11:08

Motorists in Karachi can now effortlessly track their traffic fines and vehicle information through the new “Tracks Citizen” app, introduced by the Karachi Traffic Police. The app is designed to enhance transparency in traffic management and provide citizens with easy access to their vehicle records.

Users can instantly view all vehicles registered under their CNIC and check for any pending e-challans or traffic violations. Once logged in, the app displays every vehicle linked to the user’s ID on a single dashboard, offering a complete digital record in one place.

The Tracks Citizen app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. It delivers real-time alerts for traffic rule violations, initially as a warning message and subsequently as an official e-ticket (e-challan) once the violation is confirmed.

This initiative follows the rollout of Karachi’s digital e-challan system, which recorded over 2,600 violations in just six hours, resulting in fines exceeding Rs. 12.5 million. Most penalties were issued for overspeeding, not wearing seatbelts, running red lights, and riding motorcycles without helmets.

Officials believe the app will help citizens stay informed, avoid unnecessary fines, and promote compliance with traffic laws. The platform also aligns with the city’s broader push toward digital governance and smart traffic solutions.

With Tracks Citizen, Karachi drivers can now remain updated, prevent penalties, and contribute to safer, more efficient roads.
