Pakistan Railways launches new railcar between Lahore and Rawalpindi
LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has launched a new and improved railcar service between Lahore and Rawalpindi to make travel easier and more comfortable for passengers who frequently travel between the two cities.
The newly renovated railcar is designed to perform better on tough routes and offers upgraded seating, food and drink options, first aid kits, and cleaner coaches for passengers’ convenience.
Pakistan Railways CEO Aamir Ali Baloch said the department is working to modernize more trains with better food services, hygiene, and medical care to make train journeys more enjoyable. He also highlighted that train travel remains one of the most affordable and safest modes of transportation in Pakistan.
“Making sure every passenger gets to their destination safely and on time is our top priority,” Baloch added.
To improve train speed and service quality, international funding is being used to upgrade railway tracks and maintain locomotives.
The Lahore-Rawalpindi route is an important link between two major cities, and this new railcar aims to offer a smoother, faster, and more pleasant travel experience for passengers.
