Karachi hit by severe traffic jams on main routes – check details here
KARACHI: Major roads across Karachi faced heavy traffic jams on Tuesday, causing serious inconvenience for commuters.
Long queues of vehicles were seen on M.A. Jinnah Road and I.I. Chundrigar Road, where traffic movement remained slow for hours. Areas around Liaquatabad, Teen Hatti, and Gurumandir also faced severe congestion, making it difficult for citizens to reach their destinations on time.
Traffic was particularly jammed from Gurumandir to Nazimabad, with vehicles stuck in long lines. A similar situation was reported near Qayyumabad Chowrangi, where traffic came to a complete standstill for several minutes.
Meanwhile, movement on Shahrah-e-Faisal — one of the city’s busiest roads — was also affected, with vehicles moving at a very slow pace at several points.
Citizens have urged the traffic police and city administration to take quick steps to manage the situation and ease the flow of traffic.
