Public Holiday Announced on 05 November

Nankana Sahib: A public holiday has been announced in Nankana Sahib District on November 5 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the spiritual leader of Sikhs.

Deputy Commissioner Tasleem Akhtar Rao issued the official notification, stating that all government offices, schools, and colleges in the district will remain closed on that day.

The 556th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak have already begun in Nankana Sahib. Thousands of Sikh pilgrims from inside Pakistan and abroad are expected to attend the main event.

The district administration has made full security arrangements for the pilgrims. Over 5,000 officers and staff will be deployed to assist and manage the visitors. Additionally, facilities such as service centers, banks, and currency exchange booths have been set up for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Authorities emphasize that the holiday and security measures are aimed at ensuring a safe and smooth celebration for all attendees.
