Fire Breaks Out at Lighthouse Market in Karachi
A fire broke out at the Lighthouse area in Lunda Bazar, Karachi, on Thursday, causing panic among shopkeepers and residents. Firefighters rushed to the scene to control the blaze.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire originated in a warehouse storing slippers near M.A. Jinnah Road. The fire spread quickly due to the flammable goods stored in the warehouse. However, prompt action by the fire brigade helped contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the market.
At least five fire brigade vehicles were deployed, and rescue personnel worked diligently to manage the situation. Shops and surrounding areas were evacuated immediately as a precautionary measure.
So far, no casualties or injuries have been reported. Officials confirmed that the cause of the fire is under investigation, and further updates will be shared once more information becomes available.
Residents and shopkeepers praised the quick response of the emergency teams, which prevented a potentially larger disaster in the busy market area.
