Mahreen Ali Hits Double Century as Pakistan Defeats Sri Lanka in Blind Women’s Cricket World Cup

Pakistan’s Mahreen Ali has created history by becoming the first woman to score a double century in the Women’s Blind Cricket World Cup. She dedicated this achievement to Pakistan and her parents.

Mahreen set a world record by scoring 230 runs off just 78 balls in a match against Sri Lanka. She reached her double century in only 70 balls, hitting 39 fours along the way. Speaking about her performance, Mahreen said she was thankful to Allah and expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council and her parents.

Pakistan won the match by 221 runs. The national team set a target of 332 runs, while Sri Lanka were bowled out for 120. Mirani scored 51 runs and Metisha added 29 for Sri Lanka. For Pakistan, Noor Fatima, Hooriya Malik, and Sameera Malik each took one wicket.

Mahreen’s record-breaking innings is being celebrated as a proud moment for Pakistan and a major milestone in women’s blind cricket.
