Field Marshal Asim Munir Attributes Victory Against India to Allah Almighty

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir credited Pakistan’s victory in its conflict with India to the help of Allah. The statement was made during a special ceremony at the President House on Sunday, where King Abdullah II of Jordan was conferred with Pakistan’s highest civil award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan.

In his remarks, Field Marshal Munir emphasized that Pakistan’s success in the war was a result of divine intervention. “Allah granted Pakistan success in the conflict,” he stated, drawing attention to the role of faith and divine support in the country’s military achievements.

During the event, which was followed by a luncheon in honor of King Abdullah II, guests widely praised the army chief for his leadership and strategic response to Indian aggression. As the presentation of the Nishan-e-Pakistan unfolded, Field Marshal Munir remained the focus of attention, with many highlighting his crucial role in securing what they described as a “historic victory” for Pakistan.

In his address, Field Marshal Munir also cited a Quranic verse, reinforcing his belief that Pakistan’s triumph was a result of Allah’s assistance. He recalled the bravery of Muslim soldiers in earlier battles, noting that even when they had limited resources, such as throwing sand at their enemies, they prevailed. “We carried the same spirit in our confrontation with India,” he said, “which resulted in divine assistance.”

The ceremony was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate Chairman, federal ministers, and key political figures including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. Additionally, notable international representatives, such as the U.S. Ambassador and British High Commissioner, were present at the event, further underscoring its significance in the realm of diplomacy and international relations.
