Khawaja Asif Claims Bushra Bibi Worked for Former Intelligence Chief Gen Faiz Hameed

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, was working for former intelligence chief General Faiz Hameed.

Speaking on a private TV talk show, Asif said that information allegedly provided by Bushra Bibi would “prove correct within a few days,” suggesting she had access to sensitive details.

He claimed that Imran Khan was “fully controlled” by Gen Faiz Hameed and former Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa. “A serious joke was played with Pakistan. A woman was launched for the sake of power,” Asif said.

According to the Defence Minister, large-scale corruption took place over four to five years as part of a planned scheme. He alleged that decisions against Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court were part of the same plan. He further claimed that money from corruption was distributed, with a portion allegedly going to the PTI founder, while the rest was taken abroad.

Asif said it was “shameful” that someone educated at Oxford would allow such actions. He added that the country’s leadership was handed over to “magic and superstition.” He also claimed that if Bushra Bibi had fallen into the hands of an enemy state, it could have created serious security risks.

The Defence Minister said that Gen Asim Munir, during his time as ISI chief, had reportedly given Imran Khan a complete written report on Bushra Bibi’s activities. Asif claimed Khan reacted angrily and removed Gen Asim from his position.

He went on to say that PTI supporters believed Imran Khan to be very intelligent, “yet he was sold out by a woman.” He alleged that corruption money provided Imran Khan with “tips,” while the rest was taken abroad by Farah Gogi. He suggested that Bushra Bibi’s share must still be kept “somewhere.”

Asif said that a report published by The Economist was accurate and repeated his claim that Bushra Bibi was working for former intelligence chief Gen Faiz Hameed.
