Will Respond to Any Aggression Like We Did in May: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Field Marshal Asim Munir held an informal conversation with reporters during a luncheon hosted in honour of the King of Jordan at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday.

According to details, Asim Munir also spoke informally with the media inside the Presidency, sharing his views on regional security, Pakistan’s recent actions, and relations with friendly countries.

During the conversation, the Field Marshal said that Pakistan achieved victory against India, adding that the country has always stood firm in defending its sovereignty. He said Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, but will respond strongly to any aggression.

“We will answer anyone who imposes war on us just like we responded in May,” he said, referring to recent tensions.

Asim Munir also spoke about Gaza, mentioning the Battle of Uhud and quoting Quranic verses to explain the importance of unity, patience, and resilience.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Field Marshal Asim Munir held a long meeting in Aiwan-e-Sadr, discussing national security and regional developments. PPP leaders Bilawal Bhutto and Aseefa Bhutto were also present at the Presidency for the event.

Later, President Zardari and Asim Munir met the British High Commissioner and the US Ambassador during the gathering.

President Zardari, while speaking to attendees, said: “We are all like one family.”
