US Not Ready for Equal and Fair Talks: Iranian Foreign Minister
Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that the United States is not prepared to hold negotiations on an equal and fair basis.
In an official statement, Araghchi explained that Iran only accepts talks that are respectful and based on mutual interests. He stressed that Iran will not accept any kind of pressure or dictation.
Araghchi said that Iran’s nuclear program is completely peaceful and that all Iranian nuclear facilities are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
He added that Iran is not currently enriching uranium at any site and warned that “no country in West Asia is safe from Israel.”
The Foreign Minister stated that any attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities is an attack on the global non-proliferation system. He further said that Iran has the right to defend itself, and if it uses this right, “the attacker will regret it.”
