Islamabad is preparing for the construction of its first seven-star hotel, with the project now in the final administrative and technical stages. “The state-of-the-art hotel is being designed to accommodate and host distinguished foreign guests during the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit,” officials confirmed.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited international companies to collaborate on the development, which will proceed through a public-private partnership or joint venture with global firms. The hotel is planned to be located in Islamabad’s high-security Red Zone, chosen for its strategic importance and proximity to key government institutions.
According to CDA’s global tender, the luxury hotel will include world-class residential and conference facilities, modeled after leading capital cities worldwide. Facilities will feature large international-standard conference halls, modern seminar and meeting rooms, expansive banquet halls, and luxurious guest rooms. Advanced security systems will also be installed to ensure the safety of all visitors.
A multi-story parking facility will provide premium services for diplomatic delegations, government officials, and international participants. CDA officials believe the project will enhance Pakistan’s global profile and contribute to modern architectural development in the capital. The timely completion of the hotel is considered essential to offer high-standard accommodation and facilities for distinguished guests attending the SCO Summit.
