Key update for Canada visa applicants from Pakistan in 2025

The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment in Pa-kistan has issued an important alert for people planning to apply for a Canada visa in 2025. The advisory follows a warning from Canada’s Immigration and Citizenship Department.

In a Facebook post, the Bureau wrote: “5 years entry ban on submission of fake documents for Canadian visa.”
Canada has reported that thousands of visa applications are rejected every month because of immigration fraud.

According to Canadian authorities, anyone caught using fake or altered documents in their visa application can be legally banned from entering or staying in Canada for at least five years. They urged all applicants to always submit real and verifiable documents.

What Counts as Fake or False Documents?

Canada considers it fraud if someone submits false or changed documents, including:

• Passports or travel documents

• Visa pages, exit or entry stamps

• Fake language test results

• Fake job offers or employment letters

• Fake university admission letters, fee receipts, or transcripts

• Fake diplomas, degrees, or training certificates

• Fake relationship documents like birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce papers, or guardianship papers

• Fake police certificates or court records

• Fake DNA test results

What Happens If You Submit Fake Documents?

If an applicant — or even their agent or interpreter — submits any false document:

• The visa application will be rejected immediately.

• The applicant can be banned from Canada for at least 5 years.

Canada has made it clear that honesty is the only way to avoid serious consequences. The Bureau has advised Pakistanis to be very careful and use only genuine documents when applying.
