Seven Killed in Armed Attack on Aman Lashkar Commander’s Office in Bannu

A tragic shooting incident in Bannu claimed the lives of seven people on Friday, while two others were injured after unknown attackers opened fire on the office of a government-backed Aman Lashkar commander.

According to police sources, unidentified gunmen targeted the office of Commander Qari Jalil, causing chaos and panic in the area. Rescue teams quickly reached the scene and shifted all victims to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

Authorities confirmed that the motive behind the deadly attack is still unknown. Police have launched an investigation to identify and trace the assailants responsible for the assault.

Victims Identified

Officials reported that seven people lost their lives in the firing. The deceased were identified as Osama, Sufyan, Muhammad Niaz, Muhammad Sufyan, Wali, Noman, and Master. Their bodies have been moved to DHQ Hospital for legal formalities.

Two individuals, identified as Kamran and Muhammad, were injured in the attack. Both are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Investigation and Search Operation

Following the incident, police cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation in nearby localities. Authorities stated that this attack once again highlights the security challenges faced by anti-militancy peace groups working in the region.

Security officials have assured that all available resources are being used to track down the attackers and prevent further violence in the area.
