Prime Minister, Saudi Military Chief Discuss Stronger Relations
In Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, General Al-Ruwaili.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed best wishes for the Saudi leadership and reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations. He praised Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support and solidarity, noting that relations between the two nations are rooted in shared faith and mutual trust. The Prime Minister also recalled his highly successful visits to Riyadh over the past two months.
Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to deepening bilateral defence cooperation, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of expanding strategic ties. General Al-Ruwaili conveyed greetings from the Saudi leadership for the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan, reaffirming the Kingdom’s strong desire to elevate defence and strategic partnership to new heights.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and senior officials from both sides were also present during the meeting.
The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation, security matters, and joint strategic initiatives. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties and enhancing defence collaboration.
