Bannu Operation: 22 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists Eliminated by Security Forces
Security forces killed 22 terrorists of Fitnat al-Khawarij in an operation based on intelligence in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The Pakistan Army media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on November 24, security forces conducted an operation in Bannu district based on intelligence information, where there was information about the presence of terrorists from the Indian-sponsored group ‘Fitna al-Khawarij’.
The statement added that during the operation, security forces effectively targeted the terrorists’ hideout and 22 terrorists were killed after a fierce exchange of fire.
The ISPR additionally stated that clearance and sanitization operations are underway in the area to locate any more Indian-sponsored terrorists and complete the operation.
However, the counter-terrorism campaign under the ‘Committee of Stability’, which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee in connection with the National Action Plan, will continue with full vigor to ensure the complete elimination of foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan, as millitary reported.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif statement about Bannu Operation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operation against Fitna al-Khawarij in Bannu, saying that the security forces achieved a major success by killing 22 terrorists.
He said that the entire nation stands with the forces in the war against terrorism and is determined to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
