Now It’s Time for Bahrain and Pakistan to Turn Strong Ties Into Economic Cooperation: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that now is the time for Pakistan and Bahrain to turn their strong ties into economic cooperation.

In his address to a business community event during his visit to Bahrain, PM expressed gratitude for the reception, the Prime Minister said, “I thank the government and people of Bahrain for the excellent reception.”

He added, “Coming to Bahrain feels like coming to my own home” and expressed appreciation for the warm welcome, saying, “I am grateful for the warm, respectful, and affectionate welcome.”

He noted, “The historic reception by Bahrain will always remain in our hearts.”

Highlighting the long-standing ties between the two countries, the Prime Minister said, “Bahrain and Pakistan are two brotherly countries” and “Our relations span several decades.” He added, “Our relations are based on culture, religion, mutual respect, and trust,” and emphasized, “Pakistan and Bahrain’s relations are the strong pillars of our longstanding bond.”

Discussing the strategic partnership, he said, “Our strategic partnership has been in place for many years” and explained, “The purpose of visiting Bahrain is to further strengthen our relations.” He highlighted the importance of cooperation in various sectors, stating, “Cooperation in agriculture, IT, artificial intelligence, and other sectors is necessary.” He also said, “Our discussions took place in a very pleasant and purposeful environment.”

Reflecting on the closeness of the bilateral relationship, the Prime Minister said, “The brotherly relationship makes us feel we are not strangers to each other” and “Pakistan and Bahrain are part of the same family.”

On economic collaboration, he stated, “Now it is time to turn these strong ties into economic cooperation.” Highlighting Pakistan’s youth potential, he added, “Pakistan has a large youth potential” and “We are equipping our youth with IT, AI, technical training, and modern skills.”

Concluding his address, he said, “Together with Bahraini business enterprises, we can open new avenues.”
