PM Shehbaz Sharif Honored With Bahrain's Highest Award By King Hamad
Manama: The King of Bahrain has honored Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with the country’s highest award, the ‘Order of Bahrain’.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, where they talked about the strong friendship, trust, and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the King presented him with the ‘Order of Bahrain – First Class’, the highest award Bahrain gives to world leaders.
The Prime Minister thanked the King for the warm welcome and the honor.
He praised Bahrain’s leadership for promoting peace, tolerance, and harmony.
Both leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation in politics, economy, defense, and culture.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is committed to boosting trade, and Bahraini investors have great opportunities in food security, IT, mining, tourism, and healthcare.
He also thanked Bahrain for supporting areas like King Hamad University and mentioned that Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, once represented Bahrain as a lawyer.
The leaders also discussed the regional situation, including recent developments in Gaza.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister said on X: “Today’s visit to Bahrain was very productive, and receiving the ‘Order of Bahrain’ is a great honor. Both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, defense, and culture.”
