Fake News About Former PM Is Extremely Dangerous: FO

Tahir Andrabi, the Foreign Office Spokesperson, has stated that speculations and fake news about former Prime Minister Imran Khan on social media are extremely dangerous. The cyber domain is busy spreading fake news and rumors regarding Pakistan in various sectors.

The spokesperson during the weekly briefing in Islamabad has claimed that now Afghan social media accounts have also joined India. Unfortunately, many mainstream Indian news outlets and renowned Indian journalists are additionally involved in this regard.

In reply to a question about the EX PM’s health, he said that the Interior Minister had already made a statement regarding Imran Khan’s health on Thursday, as his remark puts an end to all rumors, adding that the relevant ministry can provide a better explanation about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.

However, on the other hand, major terrorist attacks were carried out in Pakistan. In fact, if we look at the situation, the ceasefire is not being maintained. Afghan citizens and their groups are carrying out attacks. Therefore, we cannot be too optimistic about the ceasefire. We are fully alert, and our military preparedness is strong. The visit of the Turkish delegation to Pakistan is still in the pipeline.

Tahir Andarbi further added that the relevant countries have not made any requests to offload passengers going abroad at the airport, and the Ministry of Interior can be contacted on this issue despite the documents.
