Pakistan Strongly Condemns Killing of Three Chinese Nationals in Tajikistan
Pakistan has strongly condemned the killing of three Chinese nationals in a deadly terrorist attack that took place in Tajikistan, near the border with Afghanistan. The incident involved the use of armed drones and firearms, which caused serious concern across the region.
In a statement, the Foreign Office said Pakistan stands with China and Tajikistan in this difficult moment. The government expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and called the attack a cowardly act targeting friendly nations.
Officials noted that the use of armed drones shows how dangerous the threat from Afghanistan has become. They said the incident reflects the boldness of groups operating from Afghan soil.
Pakistan highlighted that it has also suffered many terrorist attacks planned from Afghanistan. Because of this history, the people of Pakistan fully understand the grief of their Chinese and Tajik friends.
The Foreign Office repeated that Afghan territory must never be used to attack any neighbouring country. Pakistan said the continued presence of terrorist groups inside Afghanistan is a serious regional concern.
Pakistan again urged the Afghan authorities to take real and solid steps against the terrorists. It said only concrete and verifiable action can help stop such attacks in the future.
The statement added that Pakistan will keep working closely with China, Tajikistan, and other regional partners to promote long-term peace, security, and stability.
