Pakistan, ADB Sign $61.8 Million Agreements for Key Projects

Pakistan and the Asian Development Bank signed three important agreements, with the bank contributing a total of $61.8 million for water and transportation projects.

The agreements include ready financing for the ML-1 Karachi to Rohri section, according to information released on Friday by a representative for the Economic Affairs Division. Additional funding was also agreed upon for the Balochistan Water Resources Development Sector project and the Quetta Bus Rapid Transit project.

According to the spokeswoman, the three projects would receive a total of $61.8 million from the ADB. Ten million dollars will be given to the ML-1 Karachi-Rohri project. The Balochistan Water project will receive $48 million, and the Quetta BRT project will receive $3.8 million.
