Govt Bans PTI Founder’s Prison Meetings: Attaullah Tarar
Islamabad: Attaullah Tarar, Federal Information Minister, has clearly announced that the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will no longer be allowed to hold any kind of meeting in prison, while a complete ban has also been imposed on gatherings or crowds outside Adiala Jail.
In a private television program, Attaullah Tarar said that according to the government, the PTI founder has become a serious threat to the state.
The PTI leadership tried to push the country towards default by writing letters to the IMF, while the events of May 9 proved that the party took such steps that even enemy forces could not have done before.
Attaullah Tarar noted that according to prison rules, prisoners are allowed to meet under specific conditions, but as per the report, political discussions and instructions were given during the meetings.
Tarar warned that the government would not allow anyone to advance the “enemy narrative” from prison.
He urged that strict action be taken if anyone tried to disrupt peace and order outside the prison.
The Federal Information Minister further added that it has become necessary to establish a state writ, so prison visits are closed and no gatherings of any kind will be tolerated.
