Nine Dacoits Killed in Shikarpur Police Encounter, Two DSPs Injured
According to SSP Shikarpur, nine dacoits have been killed and two DSPs were injured in a police encounter in the Shikarpur, Manchar Sheikh area.
Police officials say that the fight against the robbers is still ongoing and a large police contingent is present at the scene. In addition to armored police vehicles, drone technology is also being used in the operation against the robbers.
The SSP said that DSP Garhi Yasin Zahoor Soomro and DSP City Paras Bakrani were injured in the encounter with the robbers. Four other police personnel were also injured in the encounter. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
On the other hand, Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has congratulated the SSP Shikarpur and the police team for conducting a highly successful operation in Shikarpur. He said that the operation was undoubtedly a major achievement by the Shikarpur Police.
The Home Minister emphasized that operations against robbers and criminal elements should continue without interruption. He praised the police for not caring about their own lives while ensuring the safety of the public, calling their actions both brave and commendable. He stated that the killing of dangerous robbers in the encounter was an important and positive move.
Zia Lanjar directed that DSP Parks Bakhrani and DSP Zahoor Soomro, who were injured during the operation, be provided with the best medical facilities. He said the Sindh government fully supports the police in their mission to eliminate crime from the province.
The Home Minister added that the Sindh Police have once again proved that maintaining law and order is their top priority, and their efforts continue to demonstrate the crucial role of law enforcement in public safety.
