Millions Lose Power in Ukraine After Heavy Russian Missile, Drone Strikes

Kiev: According to Ukrainian authorities, more than one million homes in Ukraine have lost power after heavy Strikes by Russia late last night.

Russian attacks targeted energy and industrial infrastructure, disrupting power supplies in several areas.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that Russian attacks were carried out in five different areas, resulting in at least five people being injured.

He said that emergency measures are underway to extinguish the fire and restore electricity in the affected areas.

According to officials, although Russia has routinely targeted Ukraine’s energy system during the war, Russia has significantly increased these attacks ahead of the onset of winter, raising concerns of a humanitarian crisis.

On the other hand, this development comes at a time when US President Donald Trump’s special envoy will visit Germany this weekend, where he will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders to hold further talks on ending the war.
