NADRA makes photos and fingerprints required for child B-Form

15 December, 2025 14:57

NADRA has taken a new step to make family records more secure by updating the rules for the B-Form.

Under the new policy, it is now mandatory to include photographs on the B-Form for children aged 3 to 10 years. For children between 10 and 18 years, fingerprints will also be taken along with their photograph. However, children under the age of 3 will not need a photo on their B-Form.

NADRA has also reminded parents that a child must be registered at the Union Council within one month of birth. This registration is important to keep official records updated.

According to NADRA, these changes have been introduced to stop unrelated people from being added to a family tree and to ensure accurate data.

The B-Form is very important as it is required for school admissions, hospital entry, and medical treatment. Because of this, parents are advised to get their child’s B-Form made on time, keeping the child’s age requirements in mind.
