Pakistan’s IT Exports Reach $180 Million in First Five Months of FY 2025-26

Pakistan’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector has shown robust growth, with IT export remittances reaching nearly USD 180 million during the first five months of fiscal year 2025-26, reflecting an increase of 18.5 percent, the Ministry of Information Technology (IT) reported.

The Ministry noted that ICT services alone generated exports worth USD 356 million in November 2025, highlighting the sector’s significant contribution to the national economy.

The latest figures also reveal a trade surplus of USD 158.23 million in the ICT sector, underscoring its stronger performance compared to other industries.

The Ministry of IT emphasized that ongoing efforts to strengthen policies and implement reforms are aimed at empowering Pakistan’s digital economy and sustaining the growth momentum in the technology sector.

These developments mark a positive trajectory for Pakistan’s IT industry, reinforcing its role as a key driver of exports and economic progress in the country.
