Pakistan Introduces New System for Iran and Iraq Pilgrims from January 2026

Islamabad | December 23, 2025: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a new system for pilgrims traveling to Iran and Iraq, starting January 2026.

The initiative aims to provide safe, organized, and comfortable travel facilities for pilgrims visiting holy sites.

Under the new system, the list of registered and authorized group organizers has been displayed on the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ official website.

This will help pilgrims identify legitimate travel operators and avoid unauthorized or unregistered organizers.

A spokesperson for the ministry stated that the new system is designed to make pilgrimages safe and hassle-free.

Officials added that all pilgrims must use authorized group organizers listed on the ministry website to ensure compliance with the new regulations.

The system will come into effect from the beginning of the new year.

Pilgrims traveling to Iran and Iraq after January 1, 2026, are required to register through the approved organizers to participate in official pilgrimage programs.
