Punjab Electric Bike Scheme 2026 for Teachers – Full Details

Lahore | December 23, 2025: The Punjab government has announced plans to launch a new electric bike scheme for teachers across the province. This initiative follows the successful implementation of a similar scheme for students of various classes.

The scheme aims to provide teachers with easy and convenient travel options while reducing their daily commuting expenses.

Electric Bikes on Easy Installments

Under the proposed scheme, teachers will be able to receive an electric bike by paying a small initial installment.

The remaining payments will be adjusted in easy monthly installments at the school or educational institution level. Officials said this approach is designed to minimize financial burden on teachers.

Special Relief Package for Female Teachers

A special relief package for female teachers is also being considered under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

This package includes free scooters for women working in public sector educational institutions.

Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said the government is focusing on teacher welfare. He added that providing travel facilities to female teachers is an important step to ease their professional responsibilities.

Officials stated that the scheme will benefit female teachers who meet the required service standards in government schools and colleges.

Rollout Expected in 2026

The provincial government has not yet shared the exact rollout dates.

However, officials expect the scheme to begin in the New Year 2026, providing teachers with electric bikes and, in some cases, free scooters.
