ANF Seizes 47kg Cocaine at Karachi Port

Karachi | Friday: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled a major drug smuggling attempt at Karachi Port, recovering a large quantity of cocaine during a successful operation. Officials said the seizure is the largest cocaine recovery in the history of the ANF.

According to the ANF spokesperson, 47 kilograms of cocaine were recovered from an imported container. The seized drugs are worth millions of dollars in the international market.

The operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence profiling and risk assessment. ANF officials had identified seven imported containers filled with scrap as suspicious.

These containers were scheduled to be transported to Gujranwala. However, before dispatch, the containers were thoroughly inspected by ANF teams.

During a detailed search, cocaine was found skillfully concealed inside one container. Officials said the drugs were hidden in a way that made detection extremely difficult during routine checks.

ANF authorities stated that this successful operation reflects the force’s professional expertise, advanced intelligence system, and effective monitoring.

The Anti-Narcotics Force continues operations against drug trafficking across seaports, dry ports, highways, inter-provincial routes, and airports nationwide.

The spokesperson reiterated that ANF remains fully committed to the complete eradication of drugs from Pakistan and is enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against all individuals involved in drug smuggling.
