United Arab Emirates (UAE) President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Islamabad today on an official visit to Pakistan. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation and is visiting at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Pakistan Air Force jets presented a ceremonial aerial salute and escorted the UAE President’s aircraft as it entered Pakistani airspace, reflecting the warmth and importance of bilateral ties.
This marks Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s first official visit to Pakistan as UAE President. Earlier, he had visited Pakistan privately in January 2025.
During the visit, the UAE President will hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The leaders are expected to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, discuss regional and international issues, and explore ways to strengthen economic, trade, and strategic cooperation.
According to the Foreign Office, this visit provides a key opportunity to deepen longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and enhance collaboration across multiple sectors.
