Govt. Tightens Noose Against Fugitive YouTuber Adil Raja over Misleading Propaganda

The federal government has taken a major decision to tighten the cordon against mischievous elements involved in spreading anti-state and misleading propaganda. As part of this action, the government has imposed a ban on fugitive YouTuber Adil Farooq Raja for spreading hate speech and propaganda against state institutions.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, Adil Farooq Raja’s name has been included in the Fourth Schedule as well as the list of proscribed persons. The ministry stated that the ban was imposed due to his continued involvement in anti-state activities.

The Interior Ministry further said that Adil Farooq Raja’s actions pose a serious threat to Pakistan’s national security and public order. His conduct has been described as being against Pakistan’s sovereignty and national interests.

Legal experts explain that individuals placed on the Fourth Schedule may face travel restrictions, while their bank accounts can be frozen and properties confiscated under the law. Experts also noted that identity cards and passports of persons included in the Fourth Schedule may be suspended or restricted.

The move reflects the government’s resolve to curb anti-national activities and prevent the misuse of digital platforms for spreading hate and misinformation.
