Former ISPR DG Asim Saleem Bajwa’s Mother Passes Away in Lahore

The mother of former Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa passed away on Wednesday in Lahore. Her death has saddened many across the country.

Family sources confirmed that she had been unwell for some time. She was receiving medical treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore. Despite efforts by doctors, she could not recover.

According to the family, funeral prayers will be offered on Thursday, January 1, 2026. The prayers will take place at DHA Phase-8, Lahore, at 1:30 pm, after Zuhr prayers. Relatives, friends, and well-wishers are expected to attend.

After the news broke, condolences started pouring in from different circles. Political leaders, military officials, and social figures expressed deep sorrow over the loss. Many paid tribute to the deceased and extended sympathies to Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa and his family.

Former colleagues and public figures described the loss as a sad moment and prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
