Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2026: Deadline for applications, draw date

The Punjab government is preparing to launch the third phase of the Green Tractors Scheme to support farmers across the province. Under this phase, the government will provide subsidised tractors to help improve farming and increase agricultural output.

Tractors in Phase 3

In the third phase, 10,000 green tractors will be offered to farmers. These tractors will range between 50 to 65 horsepower, which are suitable for most farming needs in Punjab.

Application Dates

According to the Punjab Agriculture Department, applications for the Green Tractor Scheme Phase 3 will open on January 6, 2026. Farmers can submit their applications until January 20, 2026.

Draw Date

The draw date has not been announced yet. The government is expected to share this information soon.

Previous Phase Overview

In the last phase of the scheme, more than 734,000 farmers applied, and 282,000 met the eligibility criteria. From these, 9,500 farmers were selected through a lottery. Most applicants, around 98%, chose locally made tractors, while only 2% showed interest in imported models.

Purpose of the Scheme

The Green Tractor Scheme aims to modernise agriculture, reduce farmers’ workload, and boost productivity. The program also supports local manufacturing and helps strengthen Punjab’s agricultural economy.
