Tragic Sewer Collapse in Korangi Mehran Town, Karachi, Injures Multiple

A tragic incident occurred in the Korangi Mehran Town area of Karachi, where several people, including women and children, fell into a sewer after the concrete covering collapsed.

According to rescue officials, a section of the drain’s roof was in a dilapidated condition and suddenly gave way, causing several passersby to fall in. Rescue teams reached the scene immediately after the incident was reported to begin recovery operations.

Personnel pulled three individuals, including a woman, from the drain in an unconscious state. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency medical assistance. Others sustained minor injuries and were treated with first aid on-site.

Local residents have expressed serious concern over the administration’s negligence, demanding that broken drain covers be repaired immediately to prevent similar accidents in the future.
